For Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel, Kuta is more than just a business location; it is a home that has shaped the company’s identity and journey. Originally established as Kartika Plaza Beach Hotel before evolving into Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel, the property has played an important role in the development of the Kartika Plaza area over the past 36 years.
Over time, the establishment of Discovery Mall Bali further transformed the area into an integrated tourism destination that combines accommodation, recreation, dining, and community activities within a single complex directly connected to Kuta Beach.
However, this journey has not been built solely by infrastructure and business. Behind the growth of the area are thousands of individuals who have contributed along the way, including employees, guests, visitors, MSMEs, communities, business partners, media representatives, and local residents.
Luis Daniel Garcia, General Manager of Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel, stated that this year’s celebration is not only an opportunity to reflect on the past but also to strengthen the commitment toward the future of Kuta. “For 36 years, we have grown together with the community and the development of Kuta. Therefore, this anniversary is not merely a hotel celebration, but an expression of appreciation to everyone who has been part of our journey. The anniversary series will feature a variety of programs that directly engage the community, including entertainment events, special promotions, MSME activations, community initiatives, cultural experiences, and Corporate Social Sustainability Responsibility (CSSR) programs.
The selection of these initiatives is closely linked to the location of Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel and Discovery Mall Bali in the heart of Kuta’s coastal area. Their proximity to the beach and the ocean is one of the reasons environmental issues have become a key focus of this year’s celebration.
